The January 15th Canadian government mandate requiring only fully vaccinated Canadian truck drivers to cross the Canada-US border is approaching quickly. The number of drivers this is expected to effect will surely impact the market. We at Connectrans would like to assure our clients and business partners that we are pro-actively working with our carriers to keep our capacity stabilized.

We have the commitment from our business partners that the vaccine mandate will have little to no impact on their ability to meet our needs.

Discussions discouraging sudden rate spikes, with an emphasis on long term partnerships and future business, has delivered positive results.

We do, however, have some concerns that the Spot Market will take the greater impact of this mandate. To give you the best service possible at fair market value we ask that you continue to communicate your freight needs to our team with as much notice and scheduling flexibility as possible to minimize this impact.

We have implemented a robust operational continuity plan that allows us to run our business as close to normal as possible and are well positioned to provide solutions to meet every transportation requirement, on time, no matter how challenging.
