The Role

The ideal candidate is an industry experienced sales professional that is highly motivated, driven by the opportunity to achieve career and financial success, and is looking to contribute to a rapidly growing company. They will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to successfully onboard new and incremental business for the company. This candidate will be focused on new business development and have strong communication and negotiation skills. They should be able to think critically when establishing account development strategies and have demonstrated abilities to fully execute and implement sales cycles. They are energetic, have a strong customer service focus and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.


Responsibilities

· Identify and capitalize on customer partnership opportunities

· Has a laser focus on delivering an exceptional Customer Experience

· Implement strategic business development growth plans to support existing customers

· Develop new and lasting relationships in an effort to grow business that will contribute to the company's growth plans and surpass individual sales targets

· Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure the customer's expectations are not only met but exceeded

· Identify new and innovative market opportunities and ways to mitigate competitive threats within the marketplace

· Manages time, priorities and activities with precision using the tools provided


Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

· Bachelor's degree or 3 - 4 years prior transportation management related business development/sales experience

· Hunter/Attainer mentality who constantly seeks new markets and new business expansion opportunities

· Superior customer service skills with problem solving proficiency

· Proven experience within the non-asset, 3PL transportation industry including TL and LTL pricing in the Canadian, cross border and US marketplace

· Strong communication, technical and interpersonal skills

· Proven and demonstrated knowledge and execution of successful sales development strategies

· A team player that possesses the ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines

· Innovative "out of the box" thinker that can execute

· Proximity to the GTA required

· Competitive base salary commensurate with industry and sales experience
